Sharp’s Doombar ***

(4% English make from pull) This is well balanced, mild tasting ale with amber color and slight head.  Tastes of sweet malt and a little bit on the hop side making for a slight bitterness that compliments not derides from the overall taste.  Simple, yet slight sweetness make this a good ale to go to when presented with the choice.

The beer gets its name from a notorious sand bar off the coast of Cornwall here in the UK.  Check out their website here.

Enjoyed at the White Horse Pub by the LSE after a lecture on the Political Economy of Development (needed it after that one) as well as the Salisbury Pub on my Mini Monumental Drinking Tour last month.
