Fuller’s ESB (Extra Special Bitter) ****

(5.5% English make from cask) Amber colored bitter, this luscious beer comes in as my favorite of Fuller’s on the pull.  This long running classic has a amber brown color and well balanced sweet malt and dried hop flavor. Enjoyed best from a proper ESB glass (stemmed glassware with wide diameter so you can get a full nose of this beer).  This is a full bodied, well balanced beer that will not disappoint.

This delicious pint can be enjoyed at any of the many Fuller’s owned pubs across the city. One place to recommend would be the Viaduct Tavern on Holborn across the Old Bailey.  Gorgeous pub, terrific history, and if you go a little later in the day you can avoid all the starched suits and lawyers. Or just trick them into following you into the cellar dungeon…they have one left over from the Newgate prison which stood on the site previously.
