(6.4% English ale from bottle) This currently holds the title for my favorite Young’s beer in what is an impressive line up. This wonderfully strong yet tasty pale ale, has a light amber color with a sweet well-rounded smell and a consistent light head on pour. The taste is of a muted fruit with a hoppy, slightly dry finish. All in all, a well made, solid beer, and worthy of the awards it has been given. It also bares my city’s name, so hell, can’t really be bad at all then can it.
This wonderful ale was enjoyed at the Lamb Tavern in Bloomsbury as well as the Spread Eagle in Wandsworth.
