Brakspear's Oxford Gold - Organic Golden Ale

Brakspear's Oxford Gold - Organic Golden Ale: Soil Association approved, so go organic!

(4.6% English make from bottle) This organic golden ale carried a refreshing effervescent bubble to it, and dense white head which quickly dissipated.  A nose of zesty fruit (i.e. a little bit of sweet malt), and a taste to match.

This unique golden ale, although not reinventing the wheel, does offer up something pretty awesome:  it carries the Soil Association logo for its organic production.  The Soil Association is a UK registered charity and leading organic organisation.  For that fact alone, it is set apart from many other beers and is something to be supported! Check out their work here, and support organic goods. Your purchase is your choice, so make it count.

  1. I have a strong feeling that I may well become indebted to this blog, and the writer’s keen desire for a full exploration of the hop, barley and malt based world. All I can say is I look forward to seeing comment passed on the Black Sheep Ale and Shepherd Neame’s Bishop’s Finger. Get a hobby, they said….
